Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
This 2-day course is widely applicable to organisations that use measurements, gauging systems, and visual assessments. It is designed also to support the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 and Six Sigma initiatives. The reliability of measurements and evaluations is an important consideration in any situation where they are used for decision-making purposes. The content is delivered through a series of presentation slides and course notes, combined with participant activities.
Course Objectives
The key objectives are to enhance the participants’ existing knowledge and skills to enable them to become more effective at managing their work process, and meeting customer requirements. The aim is that by the end of the course, a participant will understand:
- The nature of measurement errors
- How measurement error can affect decision making regarding process and product characteristics
- How to plan, carry out, and interpret a variety of MSA studies
